Through GAP, TEENz went to many places...
Cambodia: Kampung Cham, Kampung Ch'nang, Rong Koar, Phnom Penh...
Laos: Vienne Tian, Luang Pra Bang, Udom Xsai...
Thailand: Nong Khai, Udon Thani, Mae Salong, Huay Nam Koon, Mae Ai, Chiang Mai, Si Chiang Mai...
(i might miss out some, but we went to many places)
This year, we went more new places, one of them is WANG NAM KEOW (well, the 'keow' got many way of spelling, such as 'khieo', 'khew', 'keao', etc... i suppose whichever you like, you take lah... so i choose... 'KEOW'.. hehe)
Wanna read more? you can visit Nicole's blog which gave a good outline of our trip (scroll down to the 9th Dec...)
to angela n i, it's a ground breaking trip...
usually those places we went in Thailand were quite 'open'...
it means ppl are receptive towards the foreigners, gospels...
they'll smile and so happy to see us...
and the conversion rate was rather high, 10's and 100's...
but when we went to WNK, it wasn't like that...
they seemed not so happy to see us...
the kids dun 'wai' (Showing greeting, farewell, or acknowledgment, it comes in several forms reflecting the relative status of those involved, but generally it involves a prayer-like gesture with the hands and a bow of the head.. from wikipedia)
they weren't so happy, the adult dun smile...
1st day when we went to village and do ministry, no one was interested and no one accept Christ...
BUT thank God, juz b4 we went off, a 12 yrs old girl finally accept...
we were happy...
not so happy though...
so angela (de team leader), called an emergency meeting - fast & pray...
2nd day, we saw some fruit, abt 5 ppl accept Christ!
then the 3rd day, abt 15 accepted Christ!
WOW!!! it was ground breaking!
de other ground breaking was teaching of ER material...
we normally preach in the church but not in series...
but thank God, He opened a chance and i was able to teach for 4 sessions...
taught them the Father's love, forgiveness, Holy Spirit (aka speaking in tongues), a heart for God...
the church was happy for those sessions...
it was ground breaking!
fix our eyes on Jesus and He'll make a new way...
we definitely plan to go back to Wang Nam Keow... :-)
