안녕하세요 (annyeonghaseyo)...

annyeonghaseyo... (hi)
kamsahapnida... (thank you)

yup.. juz came back from Korea...
tis time was for Alpha vision trip...

tis trip came about because church is thinking of running Alpha course...
so somehow we were invited...
we pay our own airfare and the Alpha Korea actually pay for the rest!
(heard that the national director even sold his property to fund this trip)...

our schedule was super tight...
but basically this is the formula...
wake up > breakfast > travel to a church of another city (by bus, normally 2-3hrs)
> listens to presentation by host church > lunch
> travel to another church of another city (by bus, another 2-3hrs)
> listens to presentation > dinner > sleep...
sometimes we eat 1st b4 we listen to presentation...

altogether, we visited abt 10 churches, listened to at least 15 presentations...
juz to share with the delegates how they benefited from Alpha course...
some were fantastic, some were juz so so...
but all in all, we all kinda convinced that it is a good course for evangelism...
as well as for church growth (not juz in numbers but the spiritual life of believers)

not much of sightseeing opportunity, coz we were running from one place to another...
within a week, we went to major cities, i.e. Incheon, Seoul, Busan, Sun Cheon, Gim Hae, Daegu, etc...
there were 140 delegates from many countries, mainly Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Indonesia, Korea, etc.

here's the picture...

few things i learned...
1. I talked to some Korean missionaries, if i understand correctly, almost all of them who went out of Korea never think of going back, they want to settle down in that particular country... give birth and finally become one of the locals... man, this is dedication! sometimes in serving, we didn't think of serving for a long time, we probably just waiting for next 'job'...
2. i realized the Korean are very simple and humble... they don't shout, they speak with gentleness and they just obey the voice of God.
3. the Korean has such great move of God because they really hunger to God and love their nations. they don't just exist in Korea but they really spend time praying and seeking the Lord at the same time they just desire God so much... i wanna cultivate such lifestyle!
4. hehehe.. Korean is pretty good.. 1 week feasting in Korea really gave me a good time of tasting all kinds of Korean food!

hope to go back to Korea again.. for the 'food'... haha
