is this the place?

Angela and i were having with Max, Vince, Mond and Stella this afternoon...
then we were talking about getting PR in Spore...
so i was sharing with them that my elder sister actually became a Singaporean recently...
well, she married a singaporean so it's actually better for her...
so we ask Max if he would give up his citizenship and become a Singaporean...
he answered "no la.." "family here, parents here... not now"...
then i said "i won't give up my citizenship unless Msia buang me"...
(as if i'm so wanted here...)

after Sat night svc, we went to have tea with dave, nech, mag, vynn, cs and two new friends...
then we were talking abt JB kinda unsafe...
david was telling us that don't walk early in the morning to go to work (in spore)...
coz he has seen many case where men kena slash bcoz of robbery...
one of the new friends was saying that bcoz those people kena mark..
earning sing dollar mah...

sigh... is this the place to stay?
on one hand, the leader of the nation tells us (the 'C') that it's a great mercy and grace for us to stay here.. (means we're not really wanted la?)
the other hand is all the robbery, snatching, slashing, killing...
is this the place to stay?

then i'm reminded of the song we sang during the service...
"renew them in our day..."
Lord, let your awesome power renew in our day...
indeed, no where on earth is worth staying...
even the safest, nicest, most peaceful, beautiful...
but everwhere that God place us...
we need to make a difference...
