after Seven Pounds...

Neo (i prefer to call him this name, ha) suggested to boonfei and i this show...
Seven Pounds, not heavy yet heavy...
oh, nice movie poster boonfei found.. i think is Japanese version...


not heavy because 7 pounds of things is not heavy..
heavy because the story itself is kinda heavy..
seeing a man lost everything - except his life and struggles with pain and guilt..
of course there funny and heart-warm moments..
we say it's a good movie.. many things to learn..

but what i really want to say is not so much the film itself, but the viewer..
there's a scene where lady fainted because of heart condition..
and u know wat? in front of us (probably 5 rows) a group of teenagers laugh!!
yes, right where she fell on the ground..!!
and throughout the show at different scenes they laugh..
i laugh as well (you know i can really laugh)..
but only those funny scenes (very rare in this show).. but they kept laughing..
'THIS IS NOT A COMEDY, YOU UNCIVILIZED!' boonfei wanted to shout at them..
they finally stop laughing (probably finally realized their mistake) at the jelly fish part..
ya, almost the end of the show..

after the show, I said this to boonfei, 'our young people are too desensitized..'
ya, many are numb.. even when it's touching..
wait a minute..
it's the media that numb them, so..
i suppose the producer can't blame the young people when they laugh at a touching movie..
the show it's kinda sad... but when i left the theater, i was more sad..
