no more blogging... ?

now with facebook, friendsters..
even yahoo has those features of updating ur info, thoughts, etc...
blogging seems over... no?

i suppose blog is just not fast enough...
u post a new post up..
no one knows unless u have the feature of 'notification' on others' blogs...
for facebook, whether u like it or not, all the news of those in ur friends list will be 'fed' into ur 'home' automatically.. (of course can hide it if u want)
that only tells me one thing..
people like to be heard...
young or old, everyone wants to be heard...
even a very quiet person, actually want to be heard...
probably the degree is different but fundamental is - "I wanna be heard"

second thing is - a response... not an answer, but a response...
so facebook is up to it, u write something and most likely someone out there will response..
it makes people feel good abt it..
they are not looking for an answer..
they just wanna know that someone care...

to me, this is an insight to my ministry...
people wanna be heard, not juz because they wanna voice out...
they wanna know someone cares for them..

last thursday went and talk to a young man...
doesn't talk much but basically struggling with issues in life...
by me simply sit there listen to him...
then show him that i care but praying for him and assure him that he's ok...
that helped him much..
thank God! a day later he accepted Christ!!

how to blog in a way that others felt encouraged?
