Trading sorrows

i think it can consider an old song...
but the meaning still speaks to me a lot...
i felt so encouraged when i first heard it...
~ i lay them down for the joy of the Lord...
i remember i said this when i led the song...
"hey, this is the best deal ever,
you give away what you don't want,
what is not good, what is not helpful,
in exchange for the best in the world...
the Lord, His joy, His touch..."

after so so many years of 'knowing' the song...
it then occur to me that the 2nd part of the bridge...
is actually taken from the bible..
Ps 30:5 "..weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning..."
Message version, "The nights of crying your eyes out give way to days of laughter."
Wow, for nights that anyone cries.. but when it comes to morning, it juz give way...
give way to laughter...
no sorrows should stay..
no worries should take the main seat...

Ps 30:1 I will praise you, LORD, for you have rescued me.
You refused to let my enemies triumph over me.
Do you have God on your side?
Have you been trading correctly?
