Seriously I think Kim Tai’s message is really good and practical, even though I don’t really like some of his style and illustration (though I can’t think of any better one yet) but it was really helpful that I think everyone, especially leaders should listen because it has the effect of bringing one to a point of understanding self and God’s will. The only
thing is that because he’s Chinese speaking, it might not sound that effective if it’s in English or translated. Hopefully Chong Hiang can do something about it. I think those denying-self examples are really good. When we expect others to do well, understand us, accept us, then we are putting our own happiness in the hands of others. Then it’s too passive. Jesus promised us to have an abundant life, and then even if it’s passive it should be in God’s hand which God already promised us that no matter what He will do it. So in another word, we do not have to be passive, when we actively engage with God, His word, His leading, His Spirit then we will always live a victorious life. Really, joy is not hard to have, it’s already given to us, and it’s up to us to choose if we want to be happy. Many perceptions needed to be changed and I don’t think one time listening has much effect. But i thank God for this opportunity. It’s really good for me,I think it’s beneficial for me in my ministry.
after angela read this, she's was encouraged and she put it into practice.. so this is wat happened..
one of the morning, she noticed the rubbish outside our house is being messed up (dunno by dog or what) so she took sometime to clear it, then after she cleared lots of things (really a lot) from the house, so she took the rubbish out, and she noticed all neighbors rubbish were cleared.. at that time she saw a rubbish truck near our
house.. she was happy but they drove passed without taking those rubbish. at that time she was really mad and thought, 'why they so lazy?' and she was worried if rubbish kena mess up again. so she was like, very uneasy and furious. but there and then she remembered what i wrote so she prayed to God and decided to be joyful, "why allow anything to rob my joy," she said to herself.. and she kinda forgot about and remain joyful.. then finally when she reach home, rubbish were all cleared!! praise God and she was really excited about it!!
So, remember what the bible said, which is God's heart's desire, be joyful always!! rejoice in the Lord!!!
Have a joyful day!
