Psalms 26

David cried out..

"vindicate me, test me, try me, examine me....

for i led a blameless life..."

Oh my, what a daring cry...

i mean, this is not a cry to normal human court...

it's before God, the Almighty..

yet David did that...

he really led a blameless life?

or he knows it well that through God his life has been made new?

didn't search in any commentaries..

i'm juz so attracted by this passage...

i remember Wendy Ching talked about how we must live a holy life...

only those with clean hands and pure heart can ascend to God's mountain...

both written by David...

it's our aim and call to live a holy life...

but it's God who make us holy...

because no matter how much we can try...

we will not be able to reach His standard..

so, not trying to match His standard..

coz it's juz impossible for us...

it's for us to desire, pursue, run after...

and His strength will assist, help and enable us...

ya, dun try to live godly life without God..

godly life = live life with God in mind, heart, with His strength...

David's heart is always the same...

to be able to stand before the Lord...

come to Him and worship Him freely..

He made him holy, he pursue His holiness..

what a beautiful love relationship...
