Remembering you..

During the trip, one of the lunch breaks, i went around the church...
i was curious about those 70 kids, what they do during lunch break...

first i saw a few kids under a big tree...
they were not playing anything but juz 'lepak'..
went over to take photos...
initially they were quite reluctant...
but i kinda insisted..
so, they finally agreed..
to me, it was a precious expression...
those innocent faces...
i was a bit 感慨...
coz i know soon they will grow up..
and they won't be so innocent anymore...

then i walked further and saw a few boys playing around a table..
from far, it looked like chess...
i was surprise so i went nearer..
then i realized, it wasn't our normal chess...
they used stones as pieces...
but the movement were totally different...
don't know how they actually play so i stood for a while...
after 5mins, still dunno what is it actually...
i couldn't find out, coz we can't communicate...
another time i was 感慨, coz they dun have proper chess..
yet, do they need? they dun have outside influence...
yet they figure out a way to utilize the chess-board-table..
who say that they are loosing out?
come and think of it, do our city kids know how to improvise?

I walked on.. saw some kids with see-saw...
probably 10 of them..
they saw me coming over...
and they all quickly move into a group...
i think they were juz feeling shy...
the playground had lots of rusty kids-play...
perhaps city kids will think it's dirty and old...
but they were enjoying them..

across the field...
saw some girls playing near a oil-drum...
as i walked nearer, i saw that they were playing sand...
not building sand castle coz no other 'tools'...
but they were talking, laughing, playing... the sand...
i 感慨 again coz they seems so contented...
who knows what they were thinking?
but they couldn't care what the world thinks...
they juz enjoy the moment...

far right, there were a group of boys...
they playing waters...
the water came from the overflowed nearby reservoir..
as i take a closer look...
they build 'dam' to stop water from flowing..
they used rocks, plastic bag filled with sand...
wow, they are like engineers...
though they are juz about 10yrs old.. but they know how to improvise...

i didn't see other kids (i probably met about 30+ of them) (altogether 70 kids)..
but by now i am already amazed...
i was reminded of a song, remembering you...

no matter how cold the weather, how tough life is, how much lack they face..
God never forgets them...
God found found them, God rescued them...
God gave them so much to live for...
great mind to think...
amazing hands to get friends and work...
blessed leg to walk and run...
wonderful heart to feel and be filled...
no wonder Bible says, godliness + contentment = great gain...

appreciate what i have, grateful for what i don't have...
because God remembers me...

Do i remember God?
Or.. have i had too much that I forgot about Him?
