One leg...

it happened some time ago...
can't remember how long ago..
but i remembered that day i was juz outside The Store...
waiting for someone (i think it was angela)..
then i saw an indian man walked out from The Store...
he's not an ordinary person..
he had only one leg...
every now and then those who eat @ JJ would see him..
with only one leg and a crutches...
he goes around selling packs of tissue paper...
he never asks anything for free...
he offers the tissue packs, and if you reject...
he will just move to another table...

ok, back to my story...
when i saw him walking out from The Store..
in his hand was big bags of tissue paper...
he actually buys them from The Store and sells them..
i mean, i never once thought about where they (those who go around and sell)...
got their tissue paper (dumb right, sure have to buy to sell la)
but when i saw him walk out with those tissue...
my respect towards him suddenly just filled up my heart...
then what happened next really made me speechless...
he approached a fruit stall and ask the lady..
and bcoz of my respect towards him...
i was so ready to pay for him
but then he asked... "ini berapa?"
WOW! He actually wanted to buy the fruits...
he didn't expect the lady to give for free, he wanted to buy them!
the lady didn't take his money, she offered him 2 pieces of fruits (can't remember what fruit)
and before he went off, he said "thank you" to the lady...

this incident really made me felt so shameful yet brought me courage...
he could have complain, feel sad, self pity, waste his life...
but he didn't.. he just embrace life with courage...
he didn't expect anyone to treat him in special way...
he live his life as other usual human - work, and pay for ur expenses...
what a courageous man...
while watching him walking away, i prayed for him...
Lord, bless him... Thank you for such wonderful life..

Lord help me...
so that i would appreciate every day...
because it is You who give me as a gift, as present...
thank You Lord...
